Rain + Soup

I'm avoiding the rain with miso soup.

And hydrating for my training run tomorrow.

And doing my laundry.

First Day of Fall

It's my favorite season.  Changing leaves, boots and scarves, rosy cheeks.  And pumpkin.

So much pumpkin.

I'm starting off this first day of fall with some of my favorites: a DIY Pumpkin Spice Latte, rain boots, and  a wine-soaked book club.

How are you celebrating Autumn?  I recommend pie.  Or whiskey cider.  Or both.

I hope you all had wonderful Labor Day weekends!  I spent the weekend with Andrew's family: lots of home videos, laughing with his siblings, and chatting around the dinner table.

It's been pouring rain since I got back.  I've been home, devouring The Help (yes, I'm about a million years behind) and making Red Velvet Whoopie Pies.  Work stress still abounds for another month, so it's so nice to come home and enjoy my forced rain relaxation.  Flash flooding and all.
