The Gallon Eats the Quarts

It's about time I frame this.  I make poor Google work overtime, converting kitchen measurements.

(Get it?  2 cups in pint, 2 pints in a quart, 4 quarts in a gallon.)

Please remind me that if a recipe calls for a gallon of anything, it's probably a bad idea.

    speaking of gallons... i know this is kind of unrelated, but my friend recently made a batch of 24 cupcakes... the frosting contained a pound of butter! i freaked out just a little. :)
